I'm not going to lie. There are times when I sit on my uncomfortable pleather sofa (the standard one that comes with apartments like mine...), with a bag of chargrilled steak McCoys and a Liptons ice tea and I mindlessly watch TMF, a music video channel that is leagues below MTV and comes standard with a Freeview box. It has heaps of annoying ringtone ads in the middle and the most awful video chart countdowns in the world but I could happily sit here watching trashy music videos for a good hour or so. This was how I came across James Blunt's video for Love Love Love. Not a Blunt fan AT ALL (I don't need to give reasons...) but I did remark to the boyf that I was rather fond of the styling of the video...
Then I found out that the lovely Kinga Burza who has been scooping up awards and nominations for her videos for the likes of Kate Nash and Katy Perry was responsible for directing Blunt's vid and she kindly shared these stills shot by James D Kelly. The delicious pastel styling of the video came courtesy of Claire of Enchant and Doom who has similarly applied her skills to Roisin Murphy's video in the past. More importantly I happily sat through a James Blunt song without wanting to yell expletives because I had pretty shoes and stockings , Pucci prints used cleverely and a palette that I'm 100% feeling for next season to look at, and thus distracting me from the Blunt.
Even screenshotting this video was a bit of joy...
Just put this video on mute and you're good to go with a visual feast...
