Remember my yearnings for more FICOR's (fashion-insider cast off rails....) and stylists doing some sneaky eBay selling (I believe ppl should keep a watch on FashionAnyone who has sold plenty of Lanvin/Galliano with no reserve...)? Last month also saw the first Buy My Wardrobe event where 'uber-fashionistas' (what an icky term...) sold their gems to the public... Me thinks this year will see the FICOR'S come into full fruition as Shop Curious, organised by Susan Muncey, an ex-boutique owner and now is a...um....trend visuologist(?!?) has sort of semi-launched. The website isn't fully up yet but the first inaugaral sale being held over this weekend entitled 'Susan Muncey's Curious Fashion Sale' at the Elms Lester Painting Rooms is supposed to be offering one-off's from the the 1980's onwards from the likes of YSL, Vivienne Westwood, Christian Lacroix and Emma Cook and shoes from Miu Miu, Chanel and Terry de Havilland, with prices starting from a fiver upwards! Bring on a 2008 filled with interesting fashion-insider cast offs....
The email subject line that bounces back when you sign up on the website says 'Thank you for being curious'. No, thank you for making me curious...
