The January 2007 issue of Vogue Italia features Sasha Pivovarova staring back at you on a computer screen with a carefully manicured hand reaching out for the screen. I think the cover, shot by Steven Meisel (who else?), just about sums up the state of fashion lovers all over the world. We may not all be living in fashion capitals, mingling with the fashion 'in' crowd or getting into catwalk shows. But by the powers of the wonderful world wide web (make it a wwww), we now all possess the means to access fashion on a number of levels be it through magazine online portals like Style.com, blogs, forums, online designer stores and a whole host of other online fashion goodness, all of which is only going to increase in numbers over the next year.
Speaking of Style.com, the cover also introduces us to the Italian version Style.it which is about to launch. Another website to add to the bookmarks.
