I can't believe that it has taken over FOUR months to finally write about this. Blame the USPS system. Blame Royal Mail. Blame the bizarrely arbitrary systems that these organisations instill to the detriment of customers. A package flown from Florida from the lovely Dree at the Urban Collection somehow found it difficult to make it over to Blighty and in months of delay wound up back in Florida in a silly cycle that benefited nobody. Priority Mail aided the second attempt and FINALLY I've got my Tadashi jumpsuit. I shall always look upon this jumpsuit as my favourite one for the sole reason that it went through such a brunt of a journey to make it onto my Ikea shelving unit. That it has other redeeming qualities also elevates it...
The sheer panels, the cris crossing action and the simple/complex contrast of it makes it near impossible for me to style it up. I don't want to do anything to it other than wear it by its lonesome beautiful self, albeit with some gigantic heels...
Then again, a similarly simple/complex garment like the Bordelle cage can also be an optional companion...
In the end, I said no to the Lanvin black jacket that also made a silly pointless journey over here and back and instead, have fulfilled my lace pants fixation. Some of you have a mistrust of trousers pants with elasticated waistbands (the CdG x H&M dropped crotch par example....). I'm all for them and I say a big YAY to them for the reason that I don't have to worry about them not fitting AND I can now proceed to eat my own weight on roast potatoes (the boyf and I are going to venture to try doing them in goose fat...). These lace ones have been on the Urb site for a while and handily augment my sheer trew collection (let's try and get the number up to five shall we?). I'll be trialling these with various things going on underneath.... today the sun can catch the light of shiny silver...
