There's nothing more satisfying than BIG HIGH-RES images of shoes. None of that grainy PDF stuff. Click and enlarge and ye shall find BIG HIGH RES pics which is a joy to my eyes, and an annoyance to my heaving inbox. So big are the pics that you could almost imagine touching them and having them on your feet. It particularly benefits the likes of Nicholas Kirkwood (congrats to him for winning the Swarovski Emerging Talent Award at the BFA) who continues to bludgeon us with that distinctive cut-away platform for S/S 09 that is all his and has adorned it with pearls, which he started to dot around in his AW08-9 collection. I only have two pics here but these two are enough to start the Nicholas Kirkwood Savings Fund before they drop into the shops in January-February... lace, pearls and delicious purple croc...
I know Nicholas Kirkwood has been going maaad with the catwalk collabs.... Rodarte, Jean Pierre Braganza, Gareth Pugh, Pollini (which I oddly love despite the change of style...)... documented heavily by the likes of Imelda and Jak & Jil... may they long live and might I add a few more to the Nicholas Kirkwood collab wish list... Louise Goldin, Marios Schwab, Meadham Kirchoff... together they could all make sweet sweet shoe love...

OMGOSH! Absolutely HOT! How I love Nicholas Kirkwood!

I'm so glad he won the talent award he completely deserved it, a collaboration with Marios Schwab sounds like shoe heaven.

I don't like the pearls, I think it's tacky. Love the purple heels though.

I will be happy when this trend is over.
I don't think it's particularly feminine or flattering
