A bit of Monday Smut
I did say that I'm going a bit knit-mad at the moment. It seems to have come about in a wave as everything cool that I've come across happens to fall into the knitwear niche. Pristine Smut is an oxymoron that works well given that this accessories label is made up of St Martin grads Liria Pristine and Rosie Kent. It is Rosie that brings the share of smut into the design as a pair of golden legs akimbo acts as her signature motif. Pristine Smut got a softish launch a few months ago but now the debut collection is all lookbook-ed up and is ready to assault the world with its 1920s' jazz age decadence interpreted by feather shoulder caps, chunky knitted bracelets, rings, headpieces, chokers and what an elaborate harness piece. The smut is only very subtly injected and I suspect that the designers intend for these pieces to be worn under the guise of innocent only for them to be later corrupted by whatever adventures that the wearer gets up to.

i love them two... i really want to see them succeed. it's amazing because the pieces knits are have really interesting textures, and they totally take a life of their own.

I so want a guy with piercing blue eyes and a mustache like that! He looks like he's staring you through a 1890's postcard, only in colour.
Oh, I wouldn't mind either a headpiece like that to go with new guy...

Not sure which I love more, that metallic-looking chain scarf or the male model's cheeky 'stache.

Knitwear is coming...make way for knitwear.

Wow, I love this. The use of knits in jewelry and fascinators isn't necessarily fresh but the scale here is just amazing. & the sleekness despite the scale is surprising, too.

The blonde model's first pic is really strong, there is something really great about it.

Oh, the first one for me please. I love knits, but mostly on others. I usually end up with my hair standing on end from the static electricity.

hey! i've been a lurker here for about 6 months now and can i just say, you're a really interesting read! Anyway, re: knits, try to take a look at these designs, some are overdone but they've got potential :D
