In the experimental spirit and standard that Sara Arnold has set for the tone of the day, this image from Oyster magazine's 'Daytripper' editorial is right on the money. I have been toying with playing around with my smaller, less chunky decorative jackets. I've wrapped a grey leather shoulder bag with my Balenciaga jacket that peps it up a bit and it makes it look like there's a deconstructed mass of plastic going on around the bag. I've worn my black fringe jacket as a sort of cape addition to a dress. What more can I do? Tie jackets around my head turban-style as shown with these Toni Maticevski examples? Do that AND trot along the beach with a prom and a big bustle skirt? I'll say no to the latter but perhaps a bit of jacket experimentation on the head might not go completely wrong. Or if it did, maybe that's a good thing? Gosh... I'm feeling keraaazy today. Could it be the seven cans of Red Bull/Coke combo? Ah yes... that would be it....

This editorial reminds me of the little hermit crabs I had for pets when I was in grade school.
And regarding your question--accessories!
Love,
Danny

i need to figure out this head/jacket wrap thing, because I hate having to drag a jacket round in the summer.

I saw this and iI think it's ingenious. Never actually plucked up the courage to leave the house with a jumper as a hat though. I really think you should give it a go susie, show us your stylish interpetations on this mad idea! Cx

Experimental is the key point of the fall collections, it's interesting but the street 'll make the rules ;)

it's so crazy that jackets can be twisted so beautifully into turbans. they would be so awkward to walk in. i feel sorry for the models. haha
makes for an awesome picture though.

I often feel like I must be wearing this ensemble. As I stroll down suburban streets pushing a pram in my usual attire, I think the looks I get would be just the same if I were wearing a jacket on my head. What a fabulous impact.
