Modelling ain't my bag and I haven't got the physical pre-requisites for it but it sure is a bit of fun once in a while. Over the last few days, Swedish fashion photographer Malcolm Palmquist together with cute-as-pie-yet-devious Swedish label Jojo & Malou and their AW08 Lipstick collection ventured around twee little Lamb's Conduit Street with a polaroid camera, 'roiding a bunch of gals in slightly hilarious, 'paparazzi' style shots. I happened to be one of those girls...not exactly sure why I was included as the other members of this Polaroid Pack include Kaya Scodelario (aka Effy from Skins), Ebony Bones, Lois Winstone (sister of Jamie...) and wonderful music vid director Kinga Burza...
The dress I wore took a couple of people to zip me into seeing as it was sample size teensy and together with the fluffy pink hat, jolly pink and purple cardigan (officially my favourite colour combo these days...) and the Terry de Havilland purple glitter shoes it was all clash-fabulous. Excuse the drenched stringy hair... the pics were taken just after I had ventured outside the non-stop rain, skipping in the streets with Marcus 'roiding away. Kinga with her Super 8 camera looks a lot more poised and elegant (her dress has quite a stunning deep v back...).
Jem Goulding who was the stylist on set was seeing stars and Lois Winstone was getting her makeup done...
The Polaroid pics will be blown up and go around Europe in a travelling exhibition...not entirely sure of the details but I am eager to see how all the shots turned out and even more significant that this year marks the last of Polaroid film production...

I agree with everyone above, its depressing that polaroid isn't making film anymore, but I'm sure (at least I hope) they'll realize the error of their ways.
On, to the clothes...
You look adorable as always, and pink and purple truly is such a great color combo. Did you get any awesome clash-tastic goodies to take home?
Posted by: Chelsea Rae | 10 July 2008 at 19:15
I was also thinking a very cool flight attendant-esque outfit!
The bright, bold colours are such a delight.
... and Terry de Havillands are just a good addition to any outfit. It will spice up any outfit.I absolutely adore his shoes if only he does shoes for guys. haha

Who is this Kinga girl?? She is stunning. Now I REALLY want a bob! I've been trying to talk myself out of one for ages, but seeing hers is making me want to reach for the hairdressers' number! Uh oh.
I like the dress you have on - very nice colours.

very cute pictures.
but I have to admit I was really shocked when I came to your post the first time. I thought "wow, recreational steroid use in the fashion scene? That seems odd... and unlike suzie as she usually seems"
Maybe I hang out with too many athletes, but 'roid has only one meaning in my world. perhaps an american thing? (I do come from pretty near Polaroid's hometown --RIP-- so I appreciate their continued use)
Posted by: ripley | 12 July 2008 at 02:11
I love all that red and blue on you.
Posted by: enc | 12 July 2008 at 03:45
