*Cue biggest evil laugh ever* Wuhahahahaha! Angie Montreal is collaborating with me to co-ordinate the mass world domination of the cage skirt. Behold, as she offers the cage skirt on her Etsy in black, heather grey, brown, floral and possibly more. It can be any length you want. You can have studs, pearls or nothing at all. The zippers can be metal or plastic. Oh and there are buttons galore as she has many many options. Have a wee Etsy convo with her and groovy magic could happen. In the meantime, I'm going to get up to some renegade tricks and start hanging up some cage skirts sneakily in Topshop Oxford Circus Cheap Date style...
Get caged, people, get caged...

hmmm...i like the floral cage skirt that you wore a few posts ago, but they seem pretty difficult to wear (from the practical point of view) to me. i really liked the looks where you styled them with something black underneath - i REALLYREALLY love the floral one, but the ones in neutral colours seem a bit strict to me... though...the black one here would look good with a FLORAL dress underneath, the other way round than you did it so to say... i have never seen cage skirts in stores here, but they are bound to come...

Those of us who are not good at layering can only look on in admiration.

love your evil laugh! I would love to have one, not sure how I'd wear it, but they are really gorgeous.

i agree with wendy, haha. like i said before, all these looks are relegated to my room, in front of the mirror for me. le sigh. one day i will be courageous enough!

I need studs, studs and more studs! I'm away for a little look to see all the options.

Love those buttons...and I'd adore a cage skirt over one of my poofy skirts- unfortunately, they don't look like they'd fit. But good one, Angie!

Oh, I like the way it looks with zippers.

I am very very tempted, but I don't think I could wear it as well as you Susie!
Posted by: * Fashion Dreamer * | 19 June 2008 at 19:43
sooo tempting!! although $60 is quite steep, i'm sure you could do an immitation, although it seems like such copying!
Posted by: selina | 19 June 2008 at 19:53
I just KNOW that if I wore one of those, I would get caught on every door handle I passed. Such is life...
Posted by: Grace | 19 June 2008 at 19:55
Ooooooo cagey skirts! 60 does seem a little steep for me though! Some day ..

May have to try this one out... A great layering and conversation piece. Thanks for the comments, Susie.

I WILL eventually have one! One of the benefits of being a highschool goth is you get really used to navigating confined areas in bondage, and so this should be a breeze for me! (hah) It will have to have spiked studs on it though... :-)

You will conquer the world. Bringing something imagined into fruition is fantastic. Big props and blessings from Sister Wolf!

Can't wait to tell people how I saw Susie Bubble rock this look long before it caught on and became ubiquitous.

The tan one belongs to me, and I can't wait to get it and wear it.
I am very excited indeed.

I must have this!
Posted by: Shen-Shen | 20 June 2008 at 06:31
I don't care if I look too try hard or get an unsolicited offer to earn some money - I've got to have one and find out what living in a cage is like!
Posted by: Make Do & Mend | 20 June 2008 at 14:01
god forbid..susie is making a foray into being a fashion designer...next complete world domination......
Posted by: Barry | 20 June 2008 at 14:29
What high end designer designed that that you were inspired?
I saw it on Victoria Beckham and some editorial. Have been finding for whose works is that. DO email me if you know.
Btw, i love it! Its AMAZING!!
