amazing belt! i love bows. :)

i love the layering and use of colours. its always good to see a bit of originality for a change. x

I love this, all the colors subtly compliment each other, and the hat is pretty.

I really like the palette you chose to, especially the blue of the hat. And I want a belt just like your's, its so cute.

Please tell me where your top is from!!

this is perfect. well done.

I love the colours, great!

the hat matches perfectly
well with your outfit.

*runs in and steals Susie's Hat* *runs out*

where where is that gorgeous checked shirt which conjures up fond childhood memories of Elmer the Elephant from??!!!

I just ADORE your hat and blouse!

I love, love that electric blue -- I'm a big hat collector and big floppy hats are a must :)

golly wow I love what you're doing with this blog! =]

i love this outfit, it's absolutely perfect.

Hope you had a blessed Christmas. Wishing you and yours a prosperous 2008!!!

Ha ha! A blogger-tribute hat.I love it. I was just thinking that I'm really in the mood to wear my white floppy Yoko Ono hat lately.

aww you look so adorable!

and the colour of the hat is brilliant (:

This is really a fantastic look. Full points and top score for originality, creativity and colour combinations. Lovely!

It's adorable! And I like how you always look like you just stepped out of a magazine. Those things shouldn't work together but on you, they do. (Sorry if that sounds like a back-handed compliment, it's meant to be genuine!)

ohhh that hat is awesome! where is the shirt from? i think i need it.

Classic look, the colours really do complement well. The top is "on point". Better without the jacket methinks but then it is winter.

WHAT ARE YOU WEARING FOR NEW YEARS?

wAOUU Ilike your style!!!

Ah, i'm in love. Gorgeous outfit. I looooove the shirt and the boots!

amazing.

Ah, thanks Susie...that was really sweet of you (and very unexpected). I'm touched (but I should probably tell you- neither of those is my real name).

The hat is beautiful, that colour looks like it'd be the perfect thing to cheer up grey days (plus, it goes very nicely with the blouse). And I love the bow at your waist- it's such a fab, quirky detail.

And I must say it- that's one of the nicest compliments anyone's ever given me :)

lol, both the outfit and the tribute are sweet, and those yellow tights! I could eat yellow tights. I pondered this hat this very weekend, but my head is too small for it. and sometimes electric blue is better left to more capable others :)

Thanks guys! The top alas... is vintage.... Urban Outfitters vintage section to be precise...
The belt is a self made and here's a post about it:

JohnofScribbleSheet: Have.no.idea.whatsoever

Drusilla: Real name or not, my hat will always remind me of you anyhow!

Headmistress: I must say, the hat is a tad too big for me too but on a non-gusty day, it's all a-ok.

You are fabulous

Lol...I almost bought that hat as well...:)

what a lush blue, the mustard tights with it couldn't look better!

Wow, this has to be one of my favourite outfits of yours. The colours all look fantastic together! I'm ever so impressed.

I have a lovely big black floppy hat from Topshop that I got last year, and I really enjoy wearing that at the moment. Do you find that people tend to stare at yours though? People seem to find mine quite comical!

the hat is no nice!! you look lovely

It looks cool

the hat is so cute! you look lovely, like one of those little girls who play in the park

I really like it, you can mix many colurs in a outfit!

The colour of those tights is almost edible.

Grrreat hat. And thanks for the inspiration on yr comment: I decided to write the real backstory of the bag on the blog entry. LLG xx

ever since i saw serena van der woodsen rocking the floppy hat on a recent episode of gossip girls i knew it was time to bring it back
xoxo

that's the kind of blue that never goes out of style...

and what's this plaid? it's awesome!

Oh I want one just like it, love the color!

Hoorah, an ode to BFH! I love D's blog.

It's rather funny how blogging is beginning to make such an impact. Of course, naturally, this would be the case considering that most of us ARE bloggers, but it's funny how we become "friends" with other bloggers, and aware of a blogger's style in such a way that an item of clothing can remind us of them.

Does this make sense? Rather long winded!

Esp love the shirt, Susie.

haha, i have the same hat from topshop! i brought it in septemeber when it was not on sale!!! rip off, but i was new to the town at that time

You've inspired me to get a bright colored hat for the new year. Thank you!

haha, I love both the writer Blue Floppy Hat, your blue floppy hat, and your yellow tights. I would have thought the exact same thing.

Absoluuuuutely love the hat & the shirt! :)

*Loooove the hat.* And am glad to see I got the reference. Drusilla's blog is great.

WOW! loove the hat, especially the color. i have one like that in black, and people look really weirdly at me when i wear it. does it ever happen to you?

Archive Notes

  • As I post so frequently, the archive is organised by week but this blog has been up and running since March 2006 so if you want to read from the ye olde beginning, just keep going back through the weeks or alternatively, go through the archives via Category.

  • It's back to ol' YouTube vids then... I'm obsessed with this track by Miike Snow... a little disturbed that these are the same guys who came up with Britney's Toxic...
