it looks kind of like fish skin don't you think? very cool fish skin though, if that's possible ~ :)

these trousers really look cool. don´t know if i´d wear them, though, because i´m not THAT into glitter

and motocycle boots?

Ooh, love those pants.

It looks like the pants are made from a stretchy sequined fabric. At least, I hope they stretch, judging from how incredibly fitted they look on the model's skinny legs. I think they'd go great with the black rubber heels from your "pick me up" post.

those pants are awesome. and i think of that line all the time! ive been known to be walking around muttering to myself "eeeedjus, just eeedjus"

I'm still waiting for the red trench..

but then again, I do live in Bristol!

S xx

The outfit is nice. I'm a fan of the attention getting pants.

those trousers look incredible. i'd be on the same search if i was you, if only they had topshop in the states. oh and what seems to be a good copy of the mike&chris leather hoodie, i wouldn't mind scowering all over for that either.
can't wait to read your Paris coverage. finally the shows i couldn't possibly be disappointed by and what i've been waiting for all season.

wow, this sounds cool! I hope you'll have the good shows :-) Don't worry about your clothes, I'm sure you'll be as fabulous as last time ;-)
have fun!

fab tip susie - those trousers have got my heart rate going - they are 2-die-4!!! i will be checking the topshop website hourly. am looking forward to seeing what kind of looks i will get wearing them down to the playground (i have 2 small children). they mite prove to be rather practical - perhaps the vegimite and fingerpaint etc will wipe off!

DAMN YOU TOPSHOP. It's the stylist who's to blame for my coveting those trousers, the first impression I got looking at it was 'ooh! Balenciaga AW 07!'

it's gorgz indeed. it looks like the tail of a mermaid. oh! i'm so jealous of you going to paris.. :) have a nice time.
p.s i 've been reading you for a couple of months but today it's my first comment! your posts are magazinesque. lovely :D

I think I saw those trousers in a Topshop email, a few weeks back

http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=19551&storeId=12556&categoryId=59924&parent_category_rn=42317&productId=442070&langId=-1

If these are the Jeans - I can never tell, with the website images, I think it's because they are out of context - then you've missed them online, but you should be able to get in the Oxford street Store.

Hope that helps :)

They are gorgeous... but how good would they look on someone who's not got anorexic-looking legs? I'm sorry, but that is not right. Topshop should be ashamed of themselves, considering that they're a popular brand in a country where the average size is 14, not 6.

But pretty!

Susie: an unrelated question, to which I'm hoping you might know the answer - why do so many fashion shoots have the models jumping in the air? It seems a recent-ish trend of the last year or so, too... And why do photographers keep doing it if, now, it's so unoriginal?

susie, just wanted to let you know that you're the featured blog of the day on stylemob!!!

and those pants are amazing.
i would buy them in a heartbeat if a) i had the money and b) if i lived on that side of the pond.

i love them, but enough to wear? not so much.

that model is too thin. i like the pants, though...

...but i would not buy them because i am sicksicksick of too-thin models.

I feel like that almost every morning. it's not nice at all.

but you dress well, actually fu**ing well.
really.

yes, i think the photos you take of your outfits are amazing, very inspiring... love your style

wow, those jeans are amazing, I can understand why you'd want them for Paris.

have fun while your there, but that really is an unnecessary thing to say, because it's Paris!

it's just penultimate, not penultimate last

wow, paris! I'm sure you'll get loads of envelopes :)

I do think the pants are pretty, but all I can think about how skinny the legs of the model are! It doesn't even look pretty, it's just way too much...

Fashion Tidbits: Yes fish skin... I like the sound of that!
Freebie City: Indeed... def. with motorcycle boots!
Mary: You and me both...
Celia: I think the pants could have some stretch in them and they probably had to pin them to the model on the back to make them fit that snugly...
Stevie: That red trench is in London stores already - has been for a while...
Home Girl: Let's pray they are stain-proof!
Drusilla: Yes...they are a little Balenciaga-esque...
Hecuba J: Thanks and Bienvenue! ; )
Faraday: Nope, those aren't the same ones....these ones haven't hit stores yet...
Bouncing Evil Ginner: The model is indeed VERY slight but I don't doubt that a size 14 could pull the trousers off equally well!
Jay: I've been seeing that pose for a few seasons now.... I thought it was an American Vogue/Caroline Trentini thing.... I'm not sure but it is looking rather tired...
Jessica: Oh...thanks for the info!
seatangle: I don't think the trousers are pointedly aimed at skinny ppl.... and I actually think curvier ppl could wear them better...
Juliet & Cate: Thank you indeed... I'll still be pondering my wardrobe with a blank look on my face though!
Anon: Corrected! Excuse my poor English...
Gloria: Or none at all? Ah who knows...

i work in topshop, and those graphics came in months ago to go with the "groupie" trend, which is now on its way out. this would lead me to assume that the trousers will never come in. this is extremely sad news, as i love them, and stare over at that picture from the cash desk with longing every day. it's actually not at all uncommon that topshop use pieces in graphics that never come in store... but try telling customers that.

I've been looking for these for so long can't believe they aren't real...its gutting.I'm going to have to search for a look-a-like pair, they had some black sequined trousers nearly the same but not silver...just tried to buy them and they've disappeared from the site. DAMN YOU TOPSHOP WHY MUST YOU TAUNT ME SO??

does anyone know the name of the model?

Archive Notes

  • As I post so frequently, the archive is organised by week but this blog has been up and running since March 2006 so if you want to read from the ye olde beginning, just keep going back through the weeks or alternatively, go through the archives via Category.

  • It's back to ol' YouTube vids then... I'm obsessed with this track by Miike Snow... a little disturbed that these are the same guys who came up with Britney's Toxic...
