Bjork and her guises

You can hardly miss this month's i-D cover as Bjork is literally roaring at you with colour. I had no idea though she has been on the cover of i-D in total five times. I love how from her first cover, she looks so unbelievably fresh-faced and as each cover progresses, there's a heavier mask applied, until the latest cover where she is literally colour-camoflaged. I think Bjork is was one of the few people who could pull off every colour under the sun simultaneously.

I love the September 2000 cover a lot! I do agree that she can pull off anything, because she does have the personality for that.
Check out the last "Animal Print" photo shoot I did myself, posted on my blog, So FASH'on. Feedback is really appreciated.
That's where I learn from!!
Thanks and kisses,
Diana

She looks like a crazed parrot on acid - I LOVE it!

I agree with you. She has a very fresh, energetic face. Oeh, and that cover! Her song Earth Intruders, is very nice. And before that song, I don't even likde Bjork!

I love Bjork.

Yeah I love her, the new album is pretty dope at first listen.

bjork = human chameleon. She can pull off just about anything, and with makeup on, she can look any age she wants.

love i-D so much
i like the first bjork's cover too
;-)
xx

I love bjork, so so much.

her new song is addictive, it keeps playing in my head and i'm not even that big a bjork fan!

Its great to have people who are not afraid to push boundaries..Bjork is the best. Although some people say that she has not taste, or she dresses weirdly - that is exactly her point! She doesnt want to be usual, she wants to intrigue people (according to an interview in the SMH). I wish that more people would understand that, because fashion is all about fantasy.

By the way, did you hear of Isabella Blow's death? Sad sad news..
Anyway, I had no idea Bjork had that amount of covers. Then again, I have not been a long time i-D reader. Great magazine!

You should also look at the cover of the last Les Inrockuptibles.

is winking her signature facial expression?

What I find scary (and I went back to look at more pictures of this Bjork era) is that the picture of her in the orange hair looks just like my hair right now. I want to be Bjork when I grow up.

Bjork is amazingly awesome.
Have you seen the new video? It's wonderful. Definitely in my top 10 vids of the year so far.

"is winking her signature facial expression?"

Having the right eye covered or closed in some way is the signature of i-D magazine covers.

Is it some i-d thing to have one eye closed on the cover? Just wondering, because I don't read it regularly. Too much for my 12-year-old-girl budget on fashion mags ;)

Oh, and I think Bjork looks the best in the...June 1996 and May 1993 covers. She has SUCH a pretty face, I would kill to look like that. Bjork is totally awesome, but I have to admit, I kinda like her fashion personality than her actual music XD
