Hahaha- I just posted about this too. Excellent deviations :)

i love it: even the fact that it's lindsay...but maybe it''s because i can't tell its lindsay. i think i took five second-looks, and i still don't believe it is her.

That doesn't look a thing like Lindsay Lohan! Maybe in a glossy magazine or something she would be more recognisable but if someone asked me to guess who it was, I would have guessed wrong.

she looks like mariacarla boscono

i can't even believe that's lilo. oh, the wonders of photoshop.

yeah, really! what is the point of casting Lindsay if you can't even tell it's her and plus they have to photoshop the hell out of it to make it even look less like her?!?

It doesn't even look like her, and I think since it doesn't: what was the point of doing a celebrity?! Like you pointed out, why not hire a model who actually looks like that in real life, sans the Photoshophappiness crap. I mean, I could totally see Karen Elson in this shoot; her looks are so striking and she has that natural flaming red hair. Gee, I just don't get it. Not that I don't like the concept, but man, its just like WHY?!?!?!

I think maybe this points out quite well that modelling is best left to the lucky few who have the natural look for modelling. Even with the modern technology that we have to crop, stretch and retouch the heck out of people, WHY?!

Thanks for another insightful, witty post. :)

I do really like this ad though, you know. I totally can't tell it's Lindsey. And that's probably a good thing. But yeah, the whole look of the ad is really interesting. I like the colours they used.

hilarious photo-manipulation, susie! lindsay lohan certainly is easily replaced in this image without losing the concept or execution- i would, for instance, have preferred the karen elson version.

do you happen to have an invitation for tfs by any chance?

yeah id just like to also add that this in no way looks like lindsay lohan... i personally would like to believe that it is all a huge conspiracy. and its not actually her but some up and coming model... or any model for that matter... but i suppose i'll wait for the other images to come out before i start a definite conspiracy theory..

until you said it was lohan, i had no idea. bizarre. it just shows that any of us can be pretty and famous if we have the right computer program....

hey susie, i also was wondering if you could send me an invitation for tfs? im not sure how you do it, but my email is strikingtiger144@hotmail.com or can u post your reply on here? thanks

Hey guys, as much as I would love to invite the whole world to the brilliant TFS forums - I have used up all of my invites! So until I get some more, there's not a lot I can do. I know it's a pain that I link to TFS quite often and some of you aren't members but I hope you get on there somehow - I just can't help you out right now!

oh this is too funny! thanks for posting this.

yeah, its not even her face. really shouldnt count as ll.

I think the whole point was to generate buzz around the campaign, maybe in the end we find out its not even Lindsay Lohan?

I think it’s smart on Miu Miu’s part to have made Lindsay unrecognizable. They get the buzz attached to having a publicity magnet like Lindsay on the ad but not the bad press that she usually gets. Since it doesn’t look like her at all, it looks generic enough not to turn off those who detest Lindsay.

Wow. . . until you pointed it out, I didn't see how fake it looked. Looking at it in that light, not only does she barely look like herself, she barely looks human. Ick.

Not her face, arms, leg, or waist. But if it looks good, it looks good.

i have to agree. while i don't like the use of her in high fashion ads, but if they were going to use her, then use her. she could just as easily been any other model, karen or lily...
so basically, what was miu miu's point in using her in the 1st place?

wow...i would've never guessed that that was lindsay lohan in the miu miu ad- it looks nothing like her!!!

When you first mentioned the model was Lindsay Lohan I had to do a double take because I did not recognize her (and still don't really). Then I saw your own Photoshopped pieces and had a great snicker at all of them. :)

Could even be Anne Hathaway with a wig :-D

oh SHUT up.. it does look like her.. all models are so ugly nowadays.. really only some are pretty.. I mean gemma ward and jessica stam are the UGLIEST piece of SHIT on earth.. and the lsit goes frigging on

Archive Notes

  • As I post so frequently, the archive is organised by week but this blog has been up and running since March 2006 so if you want to read from the ye olde beginning, just keep going back through the weeks or alternatively, go through the archives via Category.

  • It's back to ol' YouTube vids then... I'm obsessed with this track by Miike Snow... a little disturbed that these are the same guys who came up with Britney's Toxic...
