The good kind of magazine freebie
It seems to be THE month for buying Vogues. The December/January issue of Paris Vogue has handed over special guest editorship to John Galliano which should be interesting to say the least. It also comes with a limited edition calendar previewed here. Always good to see Karen Elson especially since she was sorely (and IMO, wrongly) missed in the 90th anniversary issue of British Vogue.

I love that font they use in French Vogue, does anyone know what it is?

The typography of this cover, combined with the stark black rope and white body, is just absolutely perfect, design wise. How absolutely eye-catching.

When you buy any sort of international magazine over here (Washington DC metro area). . . they don't give you the cool freebies! I think it's kinda bad for business all around because girls like me, know what sort of cool free stuff they're missing out on and international magazines are too expensive not to get something out of the deal besides the mag.

[tried to post this yesterday]
The font that Paris Vogue uses throughout is Caslon, but as for the one above, it's pretty likely that it has been custom designed for Vogue and is therefore unavailable to us!
I really hope I can find that copy of Vogue with the calendar included - I keep reading that over here in Britain we might not get the supplement, and that the calendar is limited edition anyway, thus reducing the chances of it hanging pride of place in my bedroom. Life is cruel.

Hi There, the Vogue masthead is hand-drawn so an exact match is not available as a font.
However, the letters are modified Linotype Didot which is available.
