Woo minimalist! That's such a cute clutch too. I bet it's vintage...

Occasionally and when I go out, I just use my wristlet. There is only enough room for some cash, my Identification, bank card, phone, keys, and maybe a lipgloss. I hate rummaging through my bag, which is a lesport sac, so its not even that huge. But it takes me for ever to find anything.

I try not to carry too much & my bags reflect that. Even so, I'm infamous among my friends for never answering my phone, the reason being purely because by the time I fiddle it out from beneath my mp3 player, wallet, receipts, chapstick and whatever slips of paper, it's usually finished ringing.

Same here, I thought I am never gonna survive on a little leather clutch, I did it, several times now!And I quite like it!

Nice bag, Susie!!!I'm a big bag fan too but i hate when it's so heavy i can't lift it up so i try to take only the necessary objects...wallet, keychains, i-pod, lip gloss, lip balm, mobile...mmmm too much stuff, i'm afraid!!

Great minds must think alike, I just started a blog on bags and their contents. I'll link to this post if you dont mind, but I'd also really like to post on your day-to-day giant bad, and perhaps an evening/going out bag. What do you think? Give a fellow blogger some help?

Nope...the bag ain't vintage! It's from Topshop Unique....was on sale!

Lorna: I think I did a post AGGES ago about contents in bag....actually, there's more stuff in my bag these days than back then but it gives you a rough idea!

I think I could do it regarding the amount of stuff I usually carry around. But the main problem I have with clutches is the fact that you usually can't carry them over your shoulder. Having to carry bags by wrist or hand annoys the shit out of me. I do find your clutch very cute though. Oh, and I have the same phone. :)

What are those transparent things in the middle of the third picture?

i am sorry to say that i could not survive with a bag that size, although it is rather attractive i must admit...anyway, you should see the pile of rubbish i have to lug around with me, that wouldn't fit in FIVE of those little yellow thangs.

I think it does you good to be out and about without clutter.

i carry a huge bag to school everyday. its really heavy, and lately ive noticed that other people get away with using tiny bags and i barely use half the stuff in there. is that lipgloss from the bodyshop? i think i have it!

The bigger my bag is, the more I end up throwing into it. I just emptied out one I had been using for a while and found a pile of receipts, two pairs of sunglasses and about 4 lipsticks! I have the same phone as you - v girlie!!

M: Those transparent things are eye drops...usually I'd carry a bottle but to keep things light, I have the little tubes. I need them for my contact lenses!

Lorna can you tell me your blog's address/name?

I usually carry a gigantic Coach tote. It's heavy even when empty. I was given a little Speedy bag when I left a magazine job and I never thought I'd use it since it seemed so tiny. Weirdly, though, it fits all the stuff I actually use just fine. Turns out there's a lot of "just in case" junk in my tote that I don't ever use!

okay-you've inspired me--I'm gonna small bag it this weekend!

Archive Notes

  • As I post so frequently, the archive is organised by week but this blog has been up and running since March 2006 so if you want to read from the ye olde beginning, just keep going back through the weeks or alternatively, go through the archives via Category.

  • It's back to ol' YouTube vids then... I'm obsessed with this track by Miike Snow... a little disturbed that these are the same guys who came up with Britney's Toxic...
