Men Swear By Swear

One of my friends used to work at the Swear shoe store on Carnaby Street and when I used to hang out there, I discovered the secret to why all the shop assistants looked so damn cool (and cute!).  It was the shoes they were wearing (and also probably because they were hired by the SIX group - one of the most fashion-forward footwear design and retail companies in London).  Swear shoes by definition are a perfect cross between casual and smart, mixing elements of traditional brogues and wing-tips with basic sneaker shapes like Vans and Converse.  Add to this a range of colours like metallic blue and yellow and you get what, for me is a pretty-near- perfect line of shoes for guys.  The pointed toe references 1920's cutting edgy dandy shoes which makes Swear quite unique and easily recognisable (all the better for me to shoe-stalk!).

When I was 18, I was a sucker for guys in Converse.  When I was 19 I fell for guys in big-tongued Nikes and now, guys who wear Swear get my vote (ok...so picking potential-life partners by their shoes isn't the smartest thing in the world but I do think shoe choices say a lot about a person!).  Because of the smart-casual oxymoron the shoes play on, it means you can pair them with pretty much anything.  I've seen them worn with smart suits and poloshirts, with jeans, with shorts.  I especially like the contrast of really scuffed up white Swear shoes with suit trousers.

Oh, and the best bit is, if women really dig Swear shoes, they're all available in smaller sizes too making them truly unisex.  There's also a special range for women too.  If you can't make it to the London store, they offer international shipping on their online store.

lol, my boyfriend fell for a pair of SWEARs yesterday when we were having a shopping trip in edinburgh but they didn't have his size so you're a lifesaver Susie~!! I can order them for him online now~!

I just had a scroll through their online shop, and god, I'm in love with nearly every single pair they have on there...!

I sense an empty wallet soon!

... If only they have more styles available in a 38!
