The POP went to my head
The Style Bubble readers that were there from the beginning might remember this post about Selfridges' collaboration with Pop magazine that resulted in some exclusive limited edition items. Or you might have read about my very detailed sale strategy where I talked about buying weird shoes as opposed to 'classics' - the stuff that is too crazily priced at full retail but when it's on sale, suddenly they're worth a shot.
Well, I put two and two together today and bought a pair of Miu Miu x POP pink canvas platforms with black gems at the front. I had to say no to the glitter ones which were just a little too self-indulgent. If it weren't for the fact that I happened to be wearing black knee high socks, I might not have bought them because they looked amazing on against the black and the fuscia pink reminded me of one of the Giles Deacon dresses in the A/W06 collection. These are the kind of shoes I could slip on with black opaque tights and a simple black dress and that would be it - outfit all done. I did say I wanted to buy quirky shoes and these ones are just about as decadent as they come. Priced at £130, reduced from £280, well..... the POP got the better of me.

adorable!

gorgeous shoes! I just love Miu Miu... and what a fabulous colour. I very nearly bought a pair in the same style, but with a star print and huge silver heel. But fate intervened and someone bought my size before I went back!

You're right, the fuschia is beautiful against black, the contrast makes the fuschia even more desirable (slowly turning green with envy)... Can't wait to see you in your black-et-pink combo... make it soon!
